Graphic Marketing
I’ve always loved graphic design and enjoy strategizing about concept, branding, and promotion for both commercial and personal use. Here are a few examples I created.

Concept
From vinyl, to CDs, and then digital, various music carrier formats have been used over the years. On this Merch Music flyer I’m highlighting the mini album covers containing unique download codes inside that can be attached to bands’ merchandise. More about Merch Music in the Business Development section.

Branding
I came up with the name The Mix Hut for a small project studio and thought a tiki design might be a good mascot. At a car show I had seen a tiki face painted using the techniques of a pinstriper and thought that would look cool here. A motel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL provided the inspiration for the glowing font. For the mouth, I chose to use audio waveforms commonly found when editing digital audio.

Promotion
Having helped the Art Institute expand to multiple studios, I came up with a campaign to show them off and encourage local musicians to partner with current students to record their music in a professional studio. I liked the homonym “tracks” to describe music tracks as well as incorporating the visual design of bear tracks. These flyers were distributed in Boston music stores and venues and had the added benefit of advertising the college to potential new students.
